Managed from the bedroom of a small Dunfermline flat, Get It Done started in 2016. Like most start-ups, it didn’t make any money in the first 12 months, but having overcome many difficult challenges, the company has now enjoyed expediential growth with an initial focus on commercial cleaning, oven cleaning and domestic deep-cleans, a shop was opened in 2018 located in Dunfermline offering dry cleaning, alterations, and laundry.
As the company evolved, the focus switched solely to commercial cleaning, commercial deep-cleaning, end of tenancy and the supply of janitorial and washroom items. Now with 50 employees (including contractors), 3 of whom are office based, this past year saw Get It Done become Fife’s largest commercial cleaning company. The evolution continued in 2020 with Covid compliance and the supply of items such as hand sanitiser dispensers and many of the other hygiene products now needed in the fight against coronavirus.
Operating in Cupar, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline and everywhere in between, the next phase of growth will be expansion beyond Fife. Get It Done’s spirit of hard work, environmental sustainability, safety, quality beyond expectation, efficiency and purpose before profit remain the company values, just as they were in 2016.
